Blueprint Houston Mission, Goals, and Strategies.

Blueprint Houston is a non profit organization dedicated to building community support for a planning process that makes improvements to Houston’s quality of life and place.

Given that quality of life and place are important to the health and prosperity of all Houstonians, Blueprint Houston seeks to initiate a coordinated planning process that leads to a general plan for the city’s future, based on meaningful, timely and effective citizen participation.

Blueprint Houston activities will work to:

• initiate a coordinated planning process that leads to a general plan,
• raise civic awareness about the need for and benefits of planning in Houston,
• research the best approach to planning in Houston,
• engage the citizens in the planning process by sponsoring a biennial citizens congress and disseminating information to increase citizen participations.
