Houston's neighborhoods become beautiful, well-preserved, and free of visual blight supported by appropriate development standards that respect their unique identity and values. (3.8)
Actions Propsed by Participants
- Create and adopt development standards (ordinances and deed restrictions) that meet community and business needs.
- Adopt strict regulations controlling visual blight, including billboards, on-premises signage, overhead utility lines, derelict buildings, and other offensive sources of visual pollution.
- Respect the unique and historic character of individual neighborhoods.
