Dear friends and supporters of Blueprint Houston:

Since the Citizens' Congress, your support of Blueprint Houston activities has continued to gain significant respect.  I want you to know that efforts are underway to keep the importance of planning in the forefront of discussion by the community and public officials.  On the website and at community meetings you will be hearing more about:

• University reports on the status of current planning for the top ten goals adopted at the Citizens' Congress
• Opportunities for individuals and civic groups to engage in planning with the City
• A Youth's Citizens' Congress
• Community progress on the top ten goals
• Citizens' Congress II in 2005

Given the city's serious budget constraints, setting priorities and planning for the citizens' vision of Houston's long-term future is essential. Please continue voicing your support for an effective planning process and invite your neighbors, colleagues and civic groups to attend the next Blueprint Houston meeting.
