The Planning Commission will hold its first hearing on amendments to the
Major Thoroughfare and Freeway Plan (MTFP) for the City of Houston on July
21. The second hearing will be August 4 at 2:00 pm. It will be forwarded to
City Council for approval in September. The MTFP serves as the basic guide
for the implementation of major thoroughfares and highway improvements by the
City of Houston, other government agencies and the private sector. Proposed
amendments affect the following areas:
• Chimney Rock • West Hardy
• South Post Oak • Lexington
• East Little York • Northpoint
• Greens Bayou • Kluge
• Valley Ranch
SUBJECT: Meeting to Consider Altered Transit Plan

U.S Representative Gene Green and Houston City Councilman Adrian Garcia will
hold a town hall meeting on the Metropolitan Transit Authority’s revised
transit plan this Saturday. The HCC Northeast Campus is located at 401 Northline
Mall, Room 161.
