On November 18th, approximately 85 people attended the Blueprint Houston presentation by Karen Walz, Executive Director of The Dallas Plan. She energized the crowd by describing various ways in which the Dallas community works with the Dallas City Council to implement the goals of The Dallas Plan and its Action Agenda. Ms. Walz also spent time with the Strategy Subcommittee, after the presentation, to discuss the organizational details of The Dallas Plan. For more information, go to www.thedallasplan.com.

The Strategy Subcommittee is evaluating alternative means for citizen involvement in planning Houston’s future. Ms. Walz was the first in a series of guest speakers from cities with organizations similar to Blueprint Houston. A report is expected next spring.
