The Citizens' Agenda for Houston's Future consists of three related parts: Guiding Values, Goals and Actions, and Statements. These three parts not only set a vision for the future of Houston they also set a clear path to implement the vision.
The values represent fundamental beliefs and outcomes that Blueprint Houston should address. The goals are broad statements of what the city has the potential to accomplish. The actions indicate programs and initiatives to be considered when making plans to accomplish the goals. The actions are the participants' suggestions recorded at the public meetings and are reflective of their viewpoints at that time. The Statements suggest ways to involve the Mayor, City Council, and prospective candidates seeking election to make the vision a reality. They also forcefully ask for a coordinated plan for the City's future and for a continuation of Blueprint Houston as a way to sustain continued public involvement.
These Values, Goals and Actions, and Statements are interconnected. Together they represent a bold and daring vision for the future of Houston.
